Every program below shares the department's core commitment to rigor and practice, but differs in pace, specialization, and how much of the work is coursework versus original research.

The M.Sc. Computer Science lets students specialize in artificial intelligence, systems, or security through advanced coursework, culminating in either a research thesis or an applied project with a partner organization.

M.Sc. Data Systems

The M.Sc. Data Systems trains students to design, build, and govern the systems that store and analyze data at scale, with a strong thread of privacy and ethics running through every course.

M.Phil. Computing

The M.Phil. Computing is a research-intensive degree for students who want to go deep on a single research question under close faculty supervision, often as a stepping stone toward doctoral study.

4–5 years · Full-time, research-based
Ph.D. Computer Science

The Ph.D. Computer Science supports original research across the department's active research groups, from explainable AI to distributed systems, with funding available through faculty research grants and teaching assistantships.
